Ambulation re-education with and without assistive devices.
Hot Packs:
Relax muscles and reduce spasms while increasing
circulation and vasodilatation.
Ice Packs:
Decrease swelling and inflammation to joints,
anesthetize tissue, enhance vasoconstriction.
Ultrasound:
Deep heat vibratory sound wave; phonophoresis with cortisone cream
for soft tissue injury, strain or sprain.
Massage:
Reduce muscle spasm and tension, increase flexibility, reduce edema,
scar tissue and adhesions.
Ionto Phoresis:
Reduce swelling, relieve pain and soreness associated with tendonitis.
Mobilization:
Improve passive movement of joints and soft tissue.
Therapeutic Exercises:
Mat activities and manual resistive exercises for increased range of
motion and greater strength.
Home Exercise Program:
Individualized written programs for stretching, strengthening and posturing.
